Bolivar Hilton
November 17-19, 2017

Trip Description:

I think this is the 13th year that i've led this trip, and will hopefully be as successful as before. The beach house is the same- just the name has changed to "Playing Hooky". The house is also rented for Thursday night November 16th (additional $25) for those who wish to come early. Dinner Thursday night will be at the Stingeree Marina resturant. I will provide a delicious dinner Friday night, and breakfast both Sat. and Sun. morning. Saturday night, of course, is the famous Pot Luck Fried Fish Feast, which is a group effort.

This trip has been nicknamed "Boliver Hilton" because compared to the usual PACK trip, this one is pretty luxourous. Real beds, toilets, hot showers, kitchen etc. ATTENDENCE IS LIMITED TO 14 PEOPLE. YOUR BED IS NOT RESERVED UNTIL I GET YOUR CHECK ($70) Please don't wait til the last minute.

YOU DO NEED TO BRING TOWELS, BLANKET, AND MOST IMPORTANT - EAR PLUGS. Sleeping arrangements are cozy and SOME of us do snore! Because of the sleeping situation, this is a guy-only event. But of course, ALL PACK members are welcome to come by and join us for dinner, or just visit. Since this trip is a community effort, I will be asking everyone to bring something- a salad, dessert, side dish, drinks, ice, snacks etc. I will contact you about this closer to the event.I will take care of plates, cups, plasticware, napkins etc. The house needs to be empty and CLEAN by 4pm Sunday. Help with this is greatly appreciated!

There is a REASON that the fishing on this trip has always been good to OUTSTANDING. its because I always pick a weekend with excellent tides, and this weekend is no different. Most of us will launch from the Stingeree Marina and fish within a mile radius. The nearby marsh should be filled with redfish and flounder and even large black drum for those who wish to go on a Texas sleigh ride! I have always done very well with live bait (available at the marina) so you may want to bring a bait bucket.
