Participants in PACK outings have a choice of being PACK members and ACA members. Everyone must be a PACK member to participate in PACK’s annual summer tournament. Also, in outings where attendance is limited PACK members will be given preference. Anyone that is not an ACA member must pay a $5 fee per outing. We encourage everyone to join ACA.
Family memberships for PACK and ACA are available. A family consists of 2 adults and minors.

Membership Information
- PACK is a non-profit recreational group and an ACA Paddle America Club.
- New memberships are $45 for individual or $65 for a family, which covers both PACK and ACA dues as follows:
- PACK's portion is $15 for individual or $25 for a family for one year, providing for the annual tournament & BBQ and refreshments at meetings. It also covers costs for club operations like the website and meeting facilities.
- ACA's portion is $30 for individual or $40 for family (waived for current ACA members and billed directly by ACA on a twelve-month cycle after first joining). For this you get Paddler Magazine, American Canoeist Online newsletter and access to ACA events. And most importantly the club gets legal and liability coverage so we can sponsor outings. Without ACA coverage the liability burden would fall directly on the club and its officers and members.
- PACK Meetings occur the third Tuesday of every month at 7 p.m. in the back room of the REI store at 7538 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX. Meeting plans occasionally change so please see Events to verify.
- Monthly outings occur at varying locations. The sites typically are chosen by members at the regular monthly meetings. See Events for details on this year's outings.
