Trip Initiator: Chris Arceneaux

Trip Description: Catch the "Skimmer" in Fulton Beach, ride to a waterside campsite on Fence Lake, set up camp and fish, fish, fish.  Load back up on the "Skimmer" on Sunday, ride back to Fulton Beach. It's that simple.

It'll be $77 apiece for the shuttle to Fence Lake & back and Tommy's deckhand's tip.

Again, we are planning two separate shuttles.

I will poll you to find out if you want to depart Fulton at 08:30 (Group-A) or about 10:30 AM (Group-B). The reverse is true for the Sunday Pick-up. Group A will leave about 9:00 AM. Group B, maybe 11 AM/Noon.

If you taking your own motor boat (not the Skimmer) please let me know so I can adjust the participants. More to follow as we get closer

Fishing Options:

Fish can be found in just about any direction. School trout are always hanging out just West of Panther Point in sight of the tents. Reds and bigger cooperate in Panther Point Lake. Work the shoreline to the SW of the point, checking out marsh drains from Matagorda Island.

Soft plastics and Gulps on lead jigs under unweighted floats produce as well as topwater and spinner baits. There is a constant presence of finger mullet around the point that can be gathered with a cast net.
