Trip Description:

Come join us for a great time fishing at Port O'Connor. Blake and Marvin caught their P.A.C.K. Tournament winning Redfish somewhere in the area. It's hard not to catch fish here according to Blake, but hopefully I've not just jinxed us!

We'll have a more in depth trip description at our next P.A.C.K meeting on September 17th, so make sure you come for the game plan!

We plan to launch early at 6AM.  It will be dark at that hour. Bring your 360 degree light / lamp as required by the US Coast Guard. Note there is a $5 launch fee per kayak.

If launching in the dark is not your cup of tea no worries! Sunrise is at 7 AM. If you put-in after 6 look for us around the Fisherman's Cut area which is ~550 yards SSE from the boat ramp (See Map). Just head on out and meet up. We'll probably be in the vicinity till ~7:30 - 8AM then head off on further adventures, so if you miss us make radio contact on Channel 69 to let know where you are and how to rendezvous. We ask that you fish with a buddy if you fail to connect with the main team.

All fish are fair game (Trout, Reds, Flounder, and more) and all lures will likely work - your favorite paddle tail on a 1/8 - 3/8 oz jig, popping cork, etc. Live bait always works too. Weedless setups will be needed for some areas. topwater lures can be good too.  Blake will give more info on the good lures he uses at the P.A.C.K. Meeting.

It will still be hot so bring plenty of water, Gatorade or other sports drinks.  Have all essential safety gear/ life jacket. Hopefully we'll be getting out of the peak heat of summer. If we are lucky maybe we get an early cool front. If we are super lucky maybe an early fall run starts kicking off!

You gotta go to know, so come join us!
