Trip Initiator: Keith Brumbaugh (aka Chubs) 281-***-****

Trip Description:

Thanks for supporting me in my inaugural PACK trip leading experience.  Our main goal will be to have fun and try to catch some fish.

My target arrival time is 5:30 AM, hopefully in the water by 6 AM but may hold back a little to account for stragglers if they signed up but haven't shown by 6.

Facing the bay, we'll start out either going left along the bank in the grass area towards Rattlesnake Point, or right towards Churchill Bayou.

Flounder is a good possibility either left or right so make sure you have some flounder gear (Gulp swimming mullet / or Chicken Boy Bubba-Clucker on a 3/8 oz jighead is my setup).

Possible trout if we go left.  Reds at marsh drains or along grass lines near Churchill bayou / islands.

I'll be fishing lures mainly and try to keep moving, poking the edge of the marsh. i'll probably bring some frozen dead shrimp to soak if I get tired of paddling.   Drifting can be a good option too.

See map, we will make the call in the morning which way to head.

Bring your VHF radio, we'll use channel 69.  Have all you safety safety equipment:  Life jacket, whistle, fishing license.  It'll be hot, have water, electrolyte replacements, snacks, and hat.

Map:   Note the circled area is my general idea, we'll make the call which areas to fish.
