At the last several PACK meetings, we have touched on safety and shared ideas about how to be safer on the water. As many of you have already heard, a fellow TKF angler passed away in July due to an accident while kayak fishing in the Galveston area. PACK Mermbers and their Guests have been invited to attend a day of fishing, food, and fellowship to honor the memory of Lloyd Wood at the San Luis Pass County Park Pavilion. PACK has a planned outing that day in the same area at Christsmas Bay. PACK encourages Members and their Guests to stop by at the pavillion to show our support.

A day of fishing and a BBQ gathering at San Luis Pass County Park at the Marlin Pavilion is being planned for Saturday, August 25, to honor the memory of Lloyd Wood. Lloyd is the young man who drowned on July 8 while kayak fishing in the Galveston area.

Please do whatever you can to attend this gathering in memory of Lloyd Wood. We want to do what we can to help Lloyd's family heal from this fresh hurt. It could have happened to any one of us who love kayak fishing.
