Tournament Participants: PACK Members Only, AND a.) have a year-round membership with the American Canoe Assn. or b.) pay a one-time $5 ACA participation fee since we must submit the names of all competitors in this event.
COST: All anglers must
register for the tournament to be eligible for prizes.
Non-competitors may attend the weigh-in. As of 7/7/2019 Park entry and parking are free. Contestants will receive a door prize ticket at the weigh-in starting 12:30 PM as they check in with tournament officials. There is no raffle.

* - A true SLAM shall consist of
1 Trout, 1 Redfish, and 1 Flounder. In case no SLAM(s) are
entered, the method for determining places shall be by total weight
of fish entered with only 1 of each species counting. Acceptable
combinations are (1 Trout + 1 Redfish), (1 Trout + 1 Flounder), (1
Redfish + 1 Flounder), (1 Trout), (1 Redfish), (1 Flounder). However,
a true SLAM - if submitted, shall always take precedence.
NOTE: As per TPWD regulations: No more than one spotted sea trout (a.k.a. Speckled Trout) over the stated maximum length of 25" may be
retained per person per day and counts as part of the daily bag and
possession limit.

Example 1: Angler A submits a 2#
Trout, 4# Redfish, and a 1.5# Flounder (SLAM) and Angler B submits a
3# Trout, 7# Redfish and No Other SLAMS are submitted. Angler A wins 1st

within the legal slot limit of 20" to 28". Tagged redfish are ineligible for
prizes.
New Division / New Opportunity to Win. In honor of P.A.C.K.'s 21st Year we have:
Blackjack Red: This is a bonus fish, the fish closest to, but not exceeding 21 inches earns the winner a prize selection after 1st Place Heaviest Flounder Award.
PRIZE
ELIGIBILITY: Each Angler will be eligible to win only one place per fish. Prizes
will be awarded in the following sequence. Maximum of one placing per
fisherman, expect for the Bonus Blackjack Redfish. After all the fish have been weighed and placed and
those prizes awarded – the remaining prizes will be offered to all
the tournament participants as door prizes. There are no trophies. The Placings are:

FLOUNDER For a total of 12 Placings.
PRIZES: There is no grand
prize in this event. Each winner is allowed to choose their prize based on
their needs or desires.
In case of a tie, in any category, the angler who checks in first at the weigh-in is the winner. Tournament Officials will
determine if a tie exists.
RULES:

SAFETY: All
Texas Parks and Wildlife Department and United States Coast Guard
regulations shall be followed at all times. In addition, each
participant shall be required to comply with these regulations such
as use of PFD, proper lights, whistle (or other approved device) and
any other regulations not specifically listed herein. Anyone
found not in compliance shall be disqualified.

PARTICIPATION: All
anglers must have or share a canoe or kayak. There are no doubles or team categories in this tournament. A non-motorized canoe or kayak is the
only transportation allowed on the water. (paddle or pedal driven) Piggybacking or mother-shipping with powerboat
or use of other motorized craft (i.e., jetski) is not allowed.
Wade-fishing from canoe or kayak is allowed, fishing from
pier or jetty is not allowed.

CAPTAINS MEETING: No
Captains Meeting, once you have signed up and paid on or before Sept. 5, 2019 you are eligible
to start fishing at designated time. There is no “Day Before or Day of the
Tournament” registration.

FISHING
BOUNDARIES: All Public Texas Inshore Coastal Bays. Offshore
waters, including jetties, rock breakwaters, beyond the breakers and the surf zone (any Gulf-facing waters), are considered Out of Bounds. If fishing San Luis Pass, contestants must not fish past the San Luis Pass bridge.
- In
addition, all fishing locations must be waters that can be legally
paddled in accordance with either Local, State or Federal
Jurisdiction. Any water which you have to get out of your craft
and go over an obstacle (i.e., Weirs, Boat Barriers, Geotubes, etc.)
are considered Out of Bounds. If in doubt, check with one of
the Tournament Officials before the Tournament has officially
started.

If a contestant is in the weigh-in line with fish prior to 2:30 pm, they may not leave the pavilion until fish are weighed. Once the official Tournament
Clock reads 2:30 pm, the Tournament is considered closed and no one
will be allowed to weigh-in after that time.

FISH CONDITION: All
fish entered must comply with TPWD regulations. Do not
bring undersize fish to the scale. If you have an oversize red
drum which you would like to weigh that is OK, but note, oversize reds are
not eligible to be entered in the tournament. All
entered fish shall also be in fresh, edible condition. Any
frozen, crab eaten, or mutilated fish will be disqualified. Do not discard fish carcasses at the park.
