Aransas Pass June 26-28, 2015
Redfish bay, South Bay, Lighthouse Lakes and Brown & Root Flats are just a few of the places that we plan on fishing during our trip. The bays and flats of the Aransas Pass area are all easily accessible by kayak. It is considered one of the top spots to fish with conventional and fly fishing gear on the Texas coast. With the shallow flats we will be looking forward to the tailing reds, trout and flounder.

Expenses/Fees:
I have rented a cabin at the Seabreeze Motel and Cottage in Aransas Pass that will sleep up to eight. If you are interested in staying with me in the cabin I will need a $50 deposit to hold a space. If the spaces book in the cabin that I have rented you will need to call Seabreeze to book other rooms on the property ASAP because they book up fast in the summer months. Seabreez Motel and Cottages
This area has excellent opportunities for Flyfishing. A lot of sightcasting will give you many chances to catch tailing reds. Most of the lures of choice that we have used on previous trips are DOA (clear, glow/copper) shrimp tails, Spook Jr topwaters (bone, redfish) and weedless/weightless soft plastics. I plan to use some of my Buggs Lures as well on this trip. Bring your lures of confidence an lets have fun.
