Burnett/Scotts Bays
Feb 9, 2008

Trip Description: |
|
Day Trip. Burnett /Scotts Bays are deep bay making it a favorite winter area for many local anglers as trout, reds and large black drum are in the area. The plan is launch at the pipeline crossing where the park road vee’s, meet at 7:00 am.
This area is a great place for a family outing as well with hiking trails and three piers. It is home to a pair of Osprey. Ask at the Center to see the photographs of the bald eagle that was there this past December.
Be aware the Nature Center does not permit castnetting for bait nor fishing or boating in the canals.
Old bulkheads and pilings are beneath the surface along the shore lines making wading hazardous
