Trip Description:  No matter whether you fall out of your kayak in the marsh, bay, lake, creek, river, ocean, or any other body of water, it's essential to know how to get back into your kayak.  Even though this trip is for beginners, it's labeled as a intermediate trip.  The reason for this is because getting a kayak to flip back over and get back in it is not as easy as you may think.  There are many ways to get back into a kayak and we will explore those options together on the water.

How to Get There:  To get to Lake Somerville, you can take a few different ways to get there.  Follow your GPS to the location provided below and I'm sure it will get you there.  The address is:

This address gets you to the park marina.  Once you arrive at the park, head to the marina as there is a nominal launch fee you'll need to get taken care of.  After you pay the fee, head to the boat ramp.  We will launch (not arrive) at 9:00 am.  If you want to fish, place all that stuff on your kayak after the event is done.  All you need is a kayak, seat, drive (if your yak has one), and a paddle.  We will be flipping the kayaks so I suggest you leave the trolling motors inside of your vehicle until we are done (if you are fishing after).  It will not take very long to get to where we will practice on the water.  If you have paddles only and no peddle drive, it should not be a problem.

The event might end earlier than 12:00 noon.  It will boil down to how many people sign up.  I used that time as a guestimation.
