From a buddy of mine in Lafayette,
 
Hi Chris, John Williams (owner of PacknPaddle) and I were talking yesterday about our 2nd annual Cajun Cast Away event coming up on Oct 2 in Lake Charles.  We were talking about how it would be really nice to bring together some folks from Houston (PACK) and SE TX for a weekend of fun.  We thought we would run it by you to see what you think.
 
Maybe you guys have a tourney/event that would be ideal for our club members to make once a year?  This could be something we could both promote every year.
Here is the beginning's of our event page.  Still working on finalizing details-

Does this look like something folks would want to make the drive to Lake Charles?  Maybe open it up to the forum or the next meeting?
