A couple of updates on the upcoming Fayette outings... for this saturday, anyone interested in camping needs to book a site quickly. There are only 11 available primitive sites at the Park Prairie Park, there are no rv sites or screened shelters available at Oak Thicket.

There may be some hotels available in the area, probably LaGrange is the closest town with hotels. It is likely that I will book a room somewhere Friday and try to get in a little fishing late Friday afternoon. Anyone interested in sharing, give me a shout.

For the Trip in Feb 2011. I have reserved the bunkhouse cabin at Oak Thicket park for thursday 2/24, Friday2/25, and Saturday2/26 nites. This cabin has a full kitchen, two queen beds and 4 bunks. It is really a great deal, only $169 per night. I would appreciate having some company that weekend to help fill those beds. I have until 12/23 to finalize the reservation without paying a penalty for cancellation. If I can get at least 5-6 folks to share that cabin it would be great. For those who are skeptical, check out last years trip report of last february's trip and check out the fishing this time of year on Fayette. The few of us who came last year, had great fishing, some weather issues, but got our money's worth. There will be a full trip plan issued for this trip when we have our trip calendar planned for next year so you can sign up as usual. But, If I could get some early commitments it would help me feel better about the cabin rental that I"m committing to.
