Hi ya'll,

I am looking for the plans to build a live well for the upcoming Lonestar fishing tournament. Can someone please share there designs and if you have any helpful advice that will keep the fish alive longer that would be great. Do you add anything to the water to help keep them alive? I have heard of putting an ice bag in the water to keep from boiling them, but is there anything else? Do you normally use the live well on the kayak as well or only for the journey for the weight in?

I appreciate your help

Cheers

I use a big foam cooler from walmart and my oxygen response system to keep my fish alive to the weigh in. I would not place ice in the water with them because it may put them in shock. If its a short run they will be fine, just use some type of oxygen system to keep them active till you get them there. Reds are pretty tough on staying alive a long time in a small amount of water. I hope this is helpful.
