Gathering 8/25 at SLP Pavilion, Y'all come!

You may remember that a young fella (29 years) drowned beside his kayak near Surfside on July 8. His name was Lloyd Wood. His brother Jeff Wood has asked on TKF that we hold some kind of celebration of Lloyd's life. So there's a gathering planned for Saturday, August 25, at the San Luis Pass County Park at the Pavilion (the same place we have our PACK tournament).

I realize this is the same date as the PACK outing to Christmas Bay, and I thought the 2 events would work well together. I asked about that on the Event forum, and Sightcaster agreed with me.

I've posted the memorial event for Lloyd Wood on the TKF Calendar, and in that post I give links to the thread where Jeff asked for the event (and the ensuing posts about where, when, etc.). Also on that thread, you'll see posts by Lloyd's sister Shelby and his mother "marywood." On the calendar post, you'll also see a link to the "Roll Call & Food List" for the event.

I hope lots of PACK folks will participate in this event. I know Lloyd's family will appreciate our turnout and moral support. I've also posted the event on 2CoolFishing.com (TTMB forum).
