My grandson thoroughly enjoyed  his first kayak trip with PACK on the  Colorado river. Milton, the trip leader prepared us well with a breakfast snack, a briefing of the river, then  with some nice eatables at the end. Thank you Milton for a well lead trip and for the loaner yak that allowed me to take my grandson along.

We all arrived safely back without incident. That was not the case for a couple of others not in our group. A canoe maybe lost or require alot of work to retrieve by a paddler that decided to go into an area of falling trees that Milton had warned us about. Another was a older couple with a youngster, all turned to look back at the same time, bingo they were in the water right near all the sunken pilings, fortunately they were wearing pfd's and were able to navigate around the pilings. The woman and child made it to shore while the man swim the canoe to a beach area. Situations like these are good reminders that  rivers can be hazardous.

The Howell's Canoe Livery in Colombus is one first class service run buy some good folks. It's a great place to go for a group/family outing.
