Instead of launching at Pirate's Cove Marina east of the park we will launch in the park itself which is now open from dawn to dusk on weekends. Please register in the Welcome Center at the park entrance before proceeding to the launch area. Admittance to the park is free of charge for the time being.
Directions from Houston:
Take 45 south to Galveston, exit 61st St., turn right on 61st and proceed to Seawall Blvd. Turn right on Seawall Blvd.(becomes FM-3305) and proceed 9.0 miles to GISP. After you pass 13 Mile Road the park entrance will be the first right turn.
Directions to launch site:
Proceed west from the Welcome Center to the Stop sign. Turn right on SR-Park Rd 66 and proceed north to end of road.
