Lots of good fishing options. A.There are new piers, both at the rv park and at the mouth of the river. B.The surf, C: it is still possible to paddle across the river to Parker's cut, portage the yak 50-100 yds to reach West Mat...D. there are several cuts from Hwy 2031 south of Matagorda, that provide access to East Bay.. recommend GPS to be able to find your way back to the right bayou... they all look alike inside the bay...E. taking the beach road to the 3Mile Lake, Spring Bayou, Hog Island areas in the bay. 4wd needed.
With the number of 4wd vehicles going on the trip, we should be able to transport anyone to the areas where 4wd is needed. Chris and I plan to have our trailer, which can transport two yaks and can be used as shuttle craft.. I have hitch adapters to mate up to most standard trailer hitch setups. We should be able to have good options for almost anyone's preferences...
I saw a 26" flounder come out of Parkers Cut Last Oct.on the river side.I know it was real because I netted it.

So, the group will divide up for this trip? Some staying at the RV park and some going on to the primitive camping spot?
If so, do we know that there will be some folks staying in each of the areas, or will it just be me and Larry at the RV camp? Who else is planning to stay at the RV camp? Anyone?
