I will post more details (as I get them) on the 2014 calendar when it's created. This is a catch and release party, I mean tournament, in Grand Isle, LA 400 miles or about 7 hours from Houston. I can take one or two people and their yaks with me. I can locate places to stay and I will commit to one place early because this is a popular tournament. It's all catch & release.

The basics: You hand your bull red off to a support vessel (bay boat with large live well), they tag it with your reg #, your fish is weighed at the marina and released. The action starts Friday Aug 15th with dinner and live music and its a shotgun start at 6 am. Non-resident SW fishing license required. I'm thinking of pre-fishing or fishing on Sunday.

http://www.calmwaterchart...!ride-the-bull/c2474 for info and videos on the 2013 tournament.

http://www.townofgrandisle.com/lodging/ for accommodations. Danny Wray at Calmwater Charters will probably handle registration again this year it was $50 for pre registration and $60 on Friday Aug 15. I understand there will be a team category and select tagged bull reds for special prizes. See ya, Chris Arceneaux (aka mullet key)

I just spoke to Capt. Danny Wray of Calmwater Charters (one of the organizers). He said registrations will be up an running in about a week. The Ride the Bull V tournament is a "GO" and to come on down. I'm looking at a rental house for 8 guys (8 beds). A buddy and I for sure, 2 or 3 three of you have given me a thumbs up on coming. So we need about 3 more.

If you want to make this trip please give me a Solid YES so I can send in a deposit for Friday and Saturday (Aug-15 & 16, checking out on Sunday Aug. 17). As of today you can expect no less than $100 a person for a two-night stay in a fully furnished house close to the action. My buddy has volunteered as the camp chef. So let me know soon! Chris Arceneaux
