Red Fish on the Fly-Barry S

Today, while fishing the Galveston Surf, Barry S caught and landed on a fly a 26+ inch red fish. He was using a fly tied several years ago by PACK member Oscar Chapa.

Congratulations to Barry for catching and landing a nice fish and to Oscar for creating an effective fly.

way to go Barry.... pictures? sure wish I had hit the surf instead of Double Bayou....there was nothing happening in my neck of the woods. any other fish caught on that surf outing?

my wife took a picture on her cell phone before I cleaned it but don't have a picture I can post. Hooked and caught a couple of small trout too, probably aroun 16" but didn't land them. caught a hardhead on an olive/white weighted clouser and had a few bumps I suspect were skipjacks. made for a fun day since I had no expectations-surf was flat although sandy-didn't get in the water til 1:30 and got out at 4:30. Thanks Oscar for the black rabbit stip fly you gave me when we went to Baffin!
