Panther Point always seems to have an abundant trout population, with a few red fish thrown in. Ken

Fishing was good- total of five nice reds and another slot red and trout caught from the shore in my rocking chair. Everything was going fine until around 2 AM Sunday morning when the thunder and lightning started in the distance. Fearing a repeat of a previous Panther Point storm, I didn't get much sleep after that. Joel B
It was a wonderful trip. Fishing was perfect but seeing sunset over open water, the Milky Way and shooting stars by campfire is even more amazing. I really appreciate PACK openness and generosity. It takes years to learn what people were willing to share and show. Alex

1. People were outstanding that we went with! Kind, loving, always looking to put other first and not just worried about themselves! 2. Food was outstanding everyone was grateful and sweet. No one was complaining and all and we all worked together as a team! 3. Uncle brad helped me out by towing me along behind his kayak when I didn’t have pedals. Fish were awesome! Everyone caught at least one fish! Kalena

1. Outstanding experience with family and friends in a beautiful environment that is very close to heaven I'm sure. 2. The actual experience of catching fish in a kayak with high-level experienced kayak fishermen. Is this as good as it will ever get? 3. Gourmet cooking, island style was amazing. Randy
I was very happy that there were loads of little trout that got the kids and adults excited about kayak fishing. Lots of limits of trout taken and eaten by the group. Great that so many new people got to experience that very special place. Very primitive but felt like home. Weather held except for last 4 hours on the island. Love it, and I am ready to go back. Brad

In closing from Chris: It was brought to my attention, and rightfully so, there was a definite hole in our safety net on this trip. Just like in our energy business we could gone over what it means to have a save trip and everybody goes home without incidents. We have gained a respectable amount of experience making these extended, lightly supported kayak fishing weekends.

There was a critical time when one of our own was out alone without a radio. A windy front came through, gear was lost or destroyed, and a fisherman and his kayak were blown over. We could have had one of these events that it pains us read about in the news.

It is not being too cautious to have a plan, regarding a destination, having and buddy along and a radio. I appreciate the participant that point this out to me. I know better
It is my position that on a trip like this, we establish some ground rules beforehand, and because of the numbers and back-to-back Skimmer runs that we actually have two trip leaders.

This is always a premier trip, I appreciate the cooperation to pull it off. Enjoy the photos!!
