Trip Initiator: Blake Colburn
Trip Description:
This is a great place to fish in the fall for all of the three major inshore saltwater fish species (red fish, trout, and flounder). You will find the reds and some flounder in the marsh. The trout and flounder are more abundant in the river. If you see birds working, jump on it as quick as you can! You should see reds tailing if the tide is not too high. Point Comfort has it all!
If you are using artificial, some of the things that work well are:
* soft plastics
* spoons
* popping corks
* Gulp
* soft plastic w/ blades
* crank baits
* just about anything you would throw elsewhere works here
We will launch from a boat ramp. To get to the marsh, the trek is around 1.75 miles. Launch time at the ramp will be 6:00 am. If you have any questions, feel free to call me. 832-588-7091
