Croaker Rig

Captain Coffee said the croaker will go down into the shell. A guide told me several years ago down in Baffin that croaker will always go to the bottom and hid that's the reason he uses a cork. Does anyone know why Capt. Coffee prefers to to use a sinker? I must try to remember to ask him next time.

It is my understanding that they will hide in grass are where they can so you work them like a lure.Hope this helps that is what I do move them a little to keep em in the open.
