Well I figured after years of lurking I should join the site...so what better way to 'kick it off' than with a fishing report....
My brother and I went to Christmas bay on Saturday during sunet. MMMMAAAAAAAAANNNNN was the tide low.
Nothing worth bragging about. 1 slot red, 1 rat. But something worth noting was the amount of baitfish in christmas bay. I'm talking twice to three times the amount I am seeing in West bay. Still havent figured this one out since Christmas is such a shallow bay system.
Anyhow, the slot red looked good. big shoulders like most winter fish have. All the fish we have been catching in west have been skinny (like summer fish). Until the next freeze, I'm thinking shallow might be worth some time. going that route in the winter DEFINITELY takes small fish out of the equation.
Welcome to PACK bogdog and I look forward to sharing some fishing trips with you.
