Great turnout last night for Captain Scott Null. Thanks to him and Camile for coming out and spending time with us.
As usual time ran out before I could cover everything and I feel like we were rushed. I look forward to the move to our new venue at 1414 Wirt Road, next month. We'll have a little more time to socialize and spend some in depth time on subjects. I think you all will be happy with the new digs, and convenient location.
I'd like to repeat my appeal for someone to represent PACK at FTU's Kayak Demo Days. The event is listed on our calendar and does conflict with Shoalwater. If any of you could spend at least a couple hours attending the event, sit at a table representing PACK and promote our club to anyone interested, it would be great. The usual volunteers for this job are all going to be at Shoalwater, so we need some one else to step up. FTU has always supported us very well, lets return the favor if we can. If you are not sure what to do, and would like to help, just give me a call.

Very sad to hear of Adrian Ramos's move to South Texas. I'm very happy for Adrian, but sad for the club. Adrian has given a lot to the club and we will really miss him. Now we need someone to carry on his work. The annual tournament has been a big event for us for several years and made a significant contribution to the club treasury and membership. Though some of us really aren't into the tournament concept, I think we all enjoyed the fellowship that the tournament provided. The great prizes didn't hurt either. Adrian has been the driver for this event and is personally responsible for soliciting almost all the gifts provided by our sponsors.

If anyone out there is interested in taking up this task or has ideas for its future, please speak up and share. I think the club is open to new ideas for fund raisers, reinventing the tournament in any form, and willing to help continue the tradition. There have been some good ideas passed on to the leadership and there will be a board meeting to discuss the situation.

I'd also like to get some feedback about the facebook page. Any of you who check it out are welcome to post items of interest to the site. Just post your comments, favorite links to gear, places to fish, travel, or whatever is on your mind. We'd like to keep it related to PACK, kayak fishing, or fishing in general. Some of you are more "facebook" oriented than others, but we are trying to spread the word about PACK and attract new membership and interest. The more of you that "friend" or "like" the site, the wider the net... so check it out, share your two cents worth.

Sorry we had to rush everyone out the door, seems like we were just getting warmed up...

Don't forget to put the new address in your TOM TOM when you come to next months meeting...

Was at last nights meeting but couldn't commit at that time till I checked my schedule and with the boss (hehe). I would be happy to go man the booth at FTU on Saturday the 30th. Don't know if I could spend the whole day but could do about 4 hrs say 10 - 2 or something like that. I have been a Pack member not long compared to many of you and relativly new and very much a novice on the kayak fishing thing. Have a general good grasp of PACK but will be happy to help and spread the word anyway I can that day. Just tell me what you need me to do.

Can be reached here but probably better to send email to my email address on file or I can be reached by phone 832-228-4026

Ron,
I have a Scout Training the same day but if I get out early I will head that way and help out with my son in tow.
