Is there anybody out there fishing an OC Big Game. I am looking for a kayak that will be a little drier for winter and it appears with the high sides and heavy capacity it might be good. I would like to hear from some one that fishes it and can tell me about it's handling, speed and how mush water it draws through the scupper holes. Thanks for any advice.

KayakFishing.Stuff.com has a preview and a review of the OC Prowler Big Game kayak. They also have pretty good dang prices...I have ordered other stuff from them and they have great Customer Service along with a user's forum that you can search to see input from others on yak's etc...

The Prowler Big Game is kayak made for the angler how wants plenty of stability and storage. It is not the fastest kayak on the water but for it size moves very well. Some cool features of this kayak are, removable center console storage tray (with inner compartment), recessed area for tranducer in hull (special bracket to be sold later by Ocean Kayak), inside tray for battery storage and plenty of flat areas for rod holder mounting. The kayak is has a nice flat area that becasue of the kayaks's stability can be used for standing.

Thanks for the info. I am going to try to paddle one before I buy and also intend to compare it to Native Watercraft. My WS Ride is just to wet for my liking in the winter. I'm going to paddle a NW in Dallas Thursday and may be going to Austin pretty quick and can probably work in a trial of the OCBG. I sure wish I could find someone who has paddled one for a while.

TK,

You should join the kayakfishingstuff.com forum and send your question to one of the guys that rated it. Those gals/guys are pretty friendly over there.
