alternative to Panther Point

Anyone not able to make the weekend trip to Panther interested in a day outing somewhere closer to home? I'd like to fish somewhere sat am, and would consider highland bayou, salt lake, upper trinity bay, or anywhere else anyone thinks we can do. I could also be talked into bass fishing at Fayette, Gibbons, Bastrop or some close by destination. Send me an email at rjromeis@kingwoodcable.net if you'd like to get together.
