PACKTX November 2011 meeting notes

1. 2012 club officers were elected and are:
   Brad Valtierra – President
   Ken Jennings – Vice President
   Eli Rivera – Treasurer
   Will Henderson – Secretary
2. The 2011 Christmas party will be on December 20^th from 7-9pm at St. Arnolds Brewery , 2000 Lyons Ave, Houston. $10 per person gets you in the door for pizza, beer, soft drinks and dessert. Bring a new lure(s) and enter the door prize drawing. Sign up online at www.packtx.org or via the PACKTX E-vite.
3. PACKTX hats will be available for $10 at the Christmas party.
4. “Fish Whisperer” awards were given to Terri Morgan, Jim Richards, Michael Harris, Will Henderson, Bruce Behrens, Brad Valtierra, Rick Kinsey and Alex Torres.
5. Dick McGonigle gave a summary of the Sea Wolf flounder run trip and Joel Berry recounted the recent Bolivar Hilton trip. Both trips were successful with lots of fish and fun. Fritz Hiser also told of recent success at the Galveston Ship Channel for flounder.
6. PACKTX member Fritz Hiser gave a presentation of his Sept 2011 Grand Canyon “rim to rim” backpacking trip. He and a friend completed the 24 mile hike in 3 days. Lots of great pictures and stories.
7. The 2012 trip calendar is being compiled now. Contact Michael Harris for details. If you’re a trip leader, call Michael and give him the dates for your trip.
8. The next PACKTX meeting will be the Christmas party on December 20.
