Ok, I just got a new Pro Angler 12 and while I had boat setting on trailer so I could adjust the pedals noted that my wading shoes I normally use for wade fishing are going to be a problem to get into the clips on the Mirage Drive account being too thick. So I was wondering if any of you guys who are using a Mirage Drive could suggest a smaller profile wading shoe to use. I would like a low top style of shoe as I wear neoprene water socks with my wading shoes so would like something flexible and that lasts. Been reviewing photo's from the site and appears everyone is wearing a big array of different styles but I am seeking comments mainly from those who have been using the Mirage Drive but all comments on a great shoe would be appreciated. Thanks

I like the light weight neoprene shoes, because they are light weight, easy on and off, and cheap. You can get them long up to your caft and not worry about water socks.

Or cut off the straps altogether. You are pushing all the time anyway.

This is a suggestion i saw on the adventureislanders.com website.

I have a AI and I took the peddle straps off. They were sometimes difficult to get your feet in in a hurry. Also a trick I saw on the Hobie site is the peddles are always facing the wrong direction, so If you drill a small hole in the peddle close to the mirage drive arm and put a piece of 1/8" bungie thru the hole and around the arm and crump it it will hold the peddles in the right position.Back to the shoes. I use the water or running shoe at REI with the toes in them. They are a little hard to put on but they work nicely hopping aroung the AI and I don't wade when I'm on the AI much. Hope this helps.
