If anyone has suggestions for good fishing location options for East or West Matagorda Bay, which would be relatively convenient to our camp site for this weekend's trip (apparently near the mouth of the Colorado River), I would appreciate hearing of them. Thanks, Jim R.
Hey Jim... Chris A and I are probably going to hit the south shoreline by paddling through Rawlings Cut.. Scott Null and I fished there a couple years ago and I've wanted to give it another go.. Parking and lauch are from the main road just a bit north of the camp. No four wheel required. Of Course if we can bribe Barry well enough, we may have to give the Hog Island flats a go.
I hit the beach and went up to 3 mile cut. No problem in the Tahoe....all I've got is traction assist. When the wind stops that area will only get better up through Sept.
