Hello and welcome to the PACK. I'm fairly new as well (a few months), but I noticed no one has replied to your message yet so I thought I would extend an unofficial welcome to you.

Although I live in Spring, I personally do not have any information for fishing Lake Conroe. Now that the holidays are over, someone else with such experience might reply soon.

I would suggest taking a few minutes to browse the Events tab of this site for upcoming 2016 trips. Because the leadership team wanted to get the dates out quickly, much of the trip details are not yet listed. However, if you look at a trip (i.e., Panthers Point) and wish more information, go to the 2015 Events and check out the details provided for that trip - and there's usually a lot of valued information listed. You can also visit the Photos tab for these past trips which will give you an understanding on what the conditions were, what the typical catches were, etc. There are several freshwater and saltwater trips planned. If you plan on going out on your own someday and want to find others who might want to join you, simply post your trip information on this site. You might get others to tag along - some may have experience with fishing the areas you're interested in trying.

Well, that's my unofficial (abet wordy) welcome and I hope you attend our first 2016 PACK meeting scheduled for the 19th (all meetings are on the 3rd Tuesday of the month). The location is listed on the Home tab. Although the meetings follow an agenda, they are very informal. You will have the opportunity to meet others who have been kayak fishing for years and who willingly share their wealth of knowledge and experience.
