Folks, my apologies! I did not book the LCRA RV Park and Campground in time. I went there today and was informed that our outing is the same as Memorial Day weekend. They are booked up and have been for a while. I sent a message out to the participants, 6 so far (different story on the last 4). So if you were considering this trip, the options are to start with...
Reschedule, book a big house or stay in the one of the local motels (if available), primitive camp on the beach. There is an RV park across from the Marina associated with the Fisherman's Motel I will check with them Monday AM. Open to all and any suggestions, let communicate amongst ourselves. What about looking at an alt location like matagorda island state park. This location did not make it on the calendar this year.
My opinion is that we should not schedule trips on Holiday weekends. Especially Memorial and Labor Days.
