I was on the water at sun-up. Winds were calm and the water was in good shape; however, there seemed to be very little tidal movement. Although there was some bait, area birds were not working pods of bait on the surface as they have been doing in the same area in recent weeks. Thunder storms and some lightning were in the area off-and-on all morning and at around 10:30 given the relatively slow action and weather a decision was made to head home. With a friend, the day was concluded with one keeper trout, a few undersized specs and sand trout and several reds with one going 19 inches. The fish were caught on plastic tails and silver spoons.

Hey Jim another friend of mine has been fishing northshore of east bay, and another the south side. Good catches have been over reefs along north shoreline and in the mouths of the bayous around the south shoreline of east bay.
