Just needed to get outdoors again, so I waded Christmas Bay Saturday morning with a couple of potlicking partners. We split a quart of $15 shrimp and couldn't buy a bite. Forecast conditions seemed perfect (rising tide, moonrise, warm temperature, etc.), but the front arrived early. With 20+ mph ENE winds and dropping temps, we were gone before noon. Only upside was I was glad I left my yak at home, and my neoprenes were still watertight!

Water was extremely clear. Even with high tide, the bay was really shallow all the way out to the channel markers. I really miss all the beautiful grass along the south shoreline that Ike destroyed.

Sorry no better news to report.

Rick, you are not alone. A friend and I got skunked Friday wading the north shoreline of Trinity Bay. But as we say, a bad day of fishing is better than ...... Hope all is well. Jim R
