Aransas Pass, TX with Dean "Slowride" Thomas

Keep this one short and sweet. Frank left Houston early to fish the area. He caught Flounder and Trout out of an area called "The Aquatic Center" See Google Earth Image in Photos. Everybody else drifted into Aransas Pass (A.P.) during the day Tue. 5/7. So tried to fish in the wind, it was tough. Stephanie Leary's Lasagna helped make up for the lack of fish. Wed. 5/8 was blownout. We scattered in different directions such as Brown & Root Flats, Lighthouse Lakes, and the Aquatic Center. Hamburgers at the Happy Hour House may have been the biggest hit!

Thu. 5/9 was better. Dean took us deep into Lighthouse Lakes to areas known to have Reds and Trout. The water level from low pressure, southerly winds and tides was super high. So the fish could be deep in the mangroves. Fish were caught and dressed. We headed back for tot he house for cold ones and packing up. Thunderstorms that night, bugged out in the morning!
