Next months meeting will feature nominations and election of next years officers. Please be prepared to nominate your candidates and vote early and often.
Don't forget to sign up for the annual Christmas Bash at St Arnold's Brewery. There will be fun and games, picture contest winners, good food and best of all free St Arnold's beer and root beer. Post a reply on the website if you plan to bring spouse, family, or significant others. There will be a token contribution to help defray the cost of the food and fee for use of the hall at St Arnold's.
As usual, bring a fishing lure, or other useful new item to donate for the raffle. Every item donated will result in a free ticket. You might win a year's supply of soft plastics......
We've had some good pictures sent to me for the "fish whisperer" designation. So far the eligible candidates are Terri Morgan, Rick Kinsey, Michael Harris, Bruce Behrens, Brad Valterra, Jason Makepeace, and Alex Torres. If I've missed any one let me know. If you want to nominate someone you think is truly a fish whisperer, please let me know. Everyone will get a chance to vote on the winner at the Christmas party.
We could also use some more quality "landscapes" or other worthy photos from the pack trips for our photo contest. Add those pictures to the website photo albums for consideration.
If anyone would like to volunteer to create a slide show or other media presentation for the party, I'd appreciate your help. I will make a laptop and projector available for the presentation. If anyone has a movie screen they could bring, that would be great.
We've had a great year of kayaking and fishing and its rapidly coming to a close. Lets make this years Christmas party one to remember. I'm looking for ideas, suggestions, or any activity to make the event more enjoyable. |
