PACK's Summer 2007 Tournament

Official Rules

 

The PACK Summer 2007 Tournament and Bar-B-Que will be held on June 9, 2007 at the Brazoria County Park at San Luis Pass. All Anglers must register for the tournament to be eligible for prizes and to partake in the Bar-B-Que meal provided by PACK. All Members and Non-Members (family and guests) not fishing in the tournament but attending the Bar-B-Que must register as well. Note raffle tickets will be sold on tournament day for a Kayak and Bay Flats Lodge Guided Trip; PACK Officer’s reserve right to defer raffle until next PACK meeting if there are not enough raffle tickets sold.
FEE RULES
1.        PACK Member –Current Status:  Registration for the Tournament/BBQ by June 7, 2007: No Charge
Note: A PACK member is a person whose PACK dues, waiver and ACA are current.  
2.        PACK Member Registration for the Tournament/BBQ who are not ACA Members: $30
3.        New - PACK Member joining the day of the Tournament (includes ACA Membership): $45
4.        Non-member for the BBQ: Adults $10, Children $3
5.        Wilderness Systems Kayak Raffle; $10 per chance (do not need to be present to win)
6.        Bay Flats Lodge Guided Trip: $10 per chance (do not need to be present to win)
7.        NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN.
 
ANGLING RULES
1.        Anglers that have Pre-Registered do not need to check-in before heading out.
2.        Anglers can register the day of the tournament from 5:00 to 8:00 a.m. at the County Park at San Luis Pass.  
3.        Anglers must return for weigh-in from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.  You must be in line for weigh-in by 2:30 p.m.
4.        The tournament official's watch will be the official time. Sync your watch before you leave! Call 281-733-4277 for Time Sync.
5.        All anglers must have or share a canoe or kayak. A canoe or kayak is the only transportation allowed on the water. Piggybacking on powerboat is not allowed.
6.        Wadefishing from canoe or kayak is allowed, fishing from pier or jetty is not allowed.
7.        Only fish caught during tournament hours, between 5:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., are allowed.
8.        Anglers that argue with tournament officials will be disqualified at the tournament official's discretion.
9.        All fish must be legal. Any angler with illegal fish will be disqualified.
10.     All fish must be caught with a rod and reel.
11.     Anglers may fish with only one rod at a time, i.e., no staking rods on the beach or trolling with multiple rods.
 
PRIZE RULES
1.        A prize will be given for each of the following and in the following order;
1.        Heaviest Grand Slam stringer *Note* - SLAM winner will receive the “PACK CUP” Angler of the year Trophy (Grand Slam stringer consists of one Speckled Trout, one Redfish and one Flounder).
2.        Heaviest three fish stringer (any combination of Speckled Trout, Redfish or Flounder)
3.        Heaviest  Speckled Trout
4.        Heaviest  Redfish
5.        Heaviest  Flounder
Note: Redfish must be within the legal slot limit, i.e. tagged redfish are ineligible for prizes.  Also, each fish (Speck, Red or Flounder) can only count towards one prize.
2.        Additional rounds of prizes may be given, for the same categories and in the same order as above for the up to 3 places.
3.        In case of a tie, a winner will be decided by a flip of a coin. The Tourney Officials will determine if a tie exists.
4.        In the unlikely event that unclaimed prizes remain from the process described in Prize Rule #2, a Special "Skunk" Prize drawing will be held. At this time all the remaining prizes will be awarded via random drawing.
5.        An angler can win a maximum of two prizes (Prizes from the drawings are excluded).
6.        You must be present to win any door and random drawing prize that may be given.
7.        You do not need to present to win the raffled prizes.
