Search 13.0 Angler MSRP $985.00

For anglers looking to land the elusive big one and recreational paddlers looking for a smooth rider, the search is over. Perception's new Search is a sit-on-top kayak that is weather-friendly and stable. The bow is very buoyant, giving it superior performance in the surf. Scupper tubes in the seat and foot area quickly drain any water that may enter the boat. Two flush-mount rod holders and a spinning rod holder keep your poles close at hand, and an easy to reach rod/paddle park allows you switch out quickly. The anchor system and cleat keep you in place. The stern of the boat features a tank well that is closer to the seat area than previous Perception boats, give easy access to stowed gear. A large bow hatch and smaller center hatch provide additional storage areas. A molded seat with adjustable padded backrest provides excellent support and comfort.

    Product Reviews:

03–17-07 - This new SOT kayak from perception is definitely one you need to look at if you're in the market, and need a good fishing kayak. I demoed this along with the LL Manta Ray 12, OK Prowler 13, and the WS Tarpon T120. The Search won out hands down due to its great Cadillac ride, tracking, secondary stability, quickness off the still start...not to mention its glide and dry ride. The other points that sold me on this kayak was the extremely large tank well, flush mount rod holders, large storage, rigging space, storage well, saddle bags on the sides, and the high ride of this kayak...you'd think that this would make the kayak tipsy, but that's not the case. It's also very stable and comfortable in sidesaddle position when fishing off of the side. The seat itself is very comfortable. Now that the word is out, definitely give it a look see...You won't be disappointed! So that you may compare, I'm 5'7" and 155 lbs. I have no problem carrying this kayak (60lbs), and putting it on top of my car.
