Blake Colburn suggested this date and destination. He and I are co-trip initiators. The mouth of the Trinity River may be the place to be for migrating Flounder. The average weather conditions: Highs 60o / Lows of 53o. Rain - nearly Zero, just have to watch the wind in the days before the trip. Making this a Friday 12/14 overnight event is totally optional. AND... Need some ideas for some friendly competition terms and awards.
Camping is free at Ft. Anahuac. Pavilion use is $20, providing I can convince a Chambers County friend to book it in their name, otherwise its $40 for us Harris County folks. I'm thinking a fish fry is in order. We can look at meal planning before the event. If you sign up, drop me a note if you camping* or driving up to fish on Sat. 12/15 (By the way, starting 12/15 - the flounder limit is 5) It is OK to catch reds and trout on this trip. *Just a suggestion, strike camp and store camping gear away before putting-in to fish. There is no one around to look after our stuff.
