After checking with some of my sources, it looks like we are good to go for this weekend but on Sunday instead of Saturday. NOTE: WE WILL HAVE THIS OUTING ON SUNDAY 6/9 , NO OTHER DATE! All information in my thread will still be the same in regards to time to meet.

I can't see any reason why this outing wouldn't take place but it would never hurt to take some inshore gear in case Mother Nature plays a trick on everyone and makes the conditions nasty. If you haven't figured it out by now, offshore kayak fishing can be very different from other types of kayak fishing due to the additional surf/swells you have to contend with. I've taken trips where I made it all the way down to Corpus only to have to turn right back around and head back to Houston. I don't believe that will happen this weekend but just in case, have a backup plan to fish inshore.

I personally will be on the beach camping Saturday evening so if any of you guys are doing the same, I will see you guys when I get there. I will be out of pocket from Friday around noon until Saturday after 3pm. If you need to catch me, reach me on my cell before noon Friday or after 3pm on Saturday.
