For those of you that are wanting to hit the water but can't due to the nasty weather, here is a report of a trip I did back on July 3rd offshore on the kayak.  A group of around 20 of us went out.  Some kayakers were new and others were experienced.  It was a interesting day to say the least.  This report I particularly like because it helps people to really understand that they need to do their research first and not let the temptation get to you in regards to having to get out at all cost.  Just because you have a kayak doesn't mean it's BTB capable.  Also, there are other safety factors that some ignored.  Fortuately, I was with a good group of some experienced kayakers and we all made sure everyone was returned safely back to the boat ramp.  For details, see the link I am providing:
