Trip Description:

Many people don't really think much of this area because it's so close to Houston but this is the place I actually limited in all three species in one outing when trout was at a limit of 10 (I caught 10 trout, 3 reds, and 2 flounder).  This was during the month of November when the flounder count went from 5 to 2.  I caught a super slam!

Anything you would use in the marsh or in bay fishing will be applicable out here.  The river can be great fishing for trout, which is where I will start off my morning.  As the day progresses, I will work my way to the islands at the end where the river pours into Trinity Bay.

If you have questions on this trip, please don't hesitate to call me.  832-588-7091

*  Exit 810

*  Turn right onto 563

*  Turn right onto Miller St. (in Anahuac, TX)

*  Turn left onto S. Main St.

*  The park will be on the right in about 1.1 miles (Fort Anahuac Park)

Some will launch at the boat ramps (image 1) and others will launch after the boat ramp toward the end of the peninsula (image 2).  I, personally, will launch from the boat ramp on the river side.
