Great turnout last night at the new venue.. I truly hope no one went to REI by mistake and I hope everyone was satisfied with the new meeting room. Other than having to operate in the dark, it wasn't too bad.. We'll figure out something to do about ambient lighting while the slide show is on.
Thank you Jason Bryant for making the trip and sharing your knowledge. Interesting concept of evaluating the "conditions" rather than the "place" to go fishing. I think we could all benefit by doing a little pre planning. Now if we could only go fishing when all those conditions were right instead of going fishing when its "my day to go". Now everyone in PACK should know how to throw those Hackberry Hustlers and when to use WHO DAT and when to throw the EAST BEAST.
Thanks for everyone's input into our discussions of the tournament and lessons learned from Shoalwater. I hope it was useful to all. Thanks to Brad, Ron, Larry, and anyone I may have missed who stepped up and agreed to get together as a committee to study the tournament and perhaps arrive at a solution.
Thanks also to Greg C for putting together a fly tying group. Anyone interested in learning to tie flies, getting better at tying flies, or just want to hang out and tie flies with some other folks; this is your chance. This group will get together the 2nd tuesday each month at the Grill across the toll road from Sam Houston Race Park.. sorry, I will get the details and post later. If you are interested, respond to this thread and we'll make sure greg gets your contact info and all the details to you.
The first meeting is in June and Greg will be schooling us on some very popular saltwater gurglers...

Also... Check the event page in a couple days and enroll for the Crawfish Boil at Virginia Point on June 4. We need everyone to enroll so we can get a headcount and order enough food.... this will be a family affair: fish in the morning... have an all you can eat( until we eat it all) crawfish/gumbo/chicken feast. Thanks to Michael H who will provide a keg of St Arnold's finest and St Arnold's killer Root Beer for those who prefer. Where else can you do this for $10 per person and get to hang out with PACK...

Remember to post your comments, fish whisperer entries, etc to the website. and check out our page on facebook...

See you all at Virginia Point...

The mystery shirts from the meeting were mine. I thought I put the form in the bag with them but it may've fallen out or no telling. Oleyakker, I sent you a message with the details for the order.
