Sam Rayburn Cabin rental

In an effort to encourage more participation, I've reserved two air conditioned cabins at Jackson Hill Marina. Each cabin has four beds, ac, and bath facility. The rental for each cabin is $65 per night per cabin... so if we get 8 campers for two nights.. each man would owe $32.50 for the weekend. The cabins do not have kitchens, but there are bar b que pits at the cabin.

There are more cabins available,and plenty of campsites still available. I have toured the facility and can make recommendations for picking good sites. There are sites for rv's and tents with water and electricity, but only a few available. There are plenty of primitive sites, but only a limited number have direct launch locations for kayaks. If want a suggestion, fire me an email. The primitive sites have limited restroom facilties... either port o potty or typical campground toilets, but no showers. There is an indoor warm water shower available 24 hrs per day for campers at the marina.

The marina offers hot breakfasts starting at 5:30 am, the menu is limited..tacos, sausage biscuits, and a full breakfast plate. Lunch is bar b que sandwiches, burgers, fries, etc.. prices are reasonable and quality is excellent. They will even prepare an evening meal on request if reserved in advance.

There are covered boat slips for anyone wishing to bring their powerboats.

Please contact the marina for more information and to make individual reservations for rv or tent sites. If you want to stay with me in the cabins.. it will be first come first served for the  first eight spots.  They aren't glamorous but the ac will feel great.
