Winds are forecast to be 20 to 25 mph on Friday. This will make for a difficult paddle out to the island. Since the bay is shallow, waves will not be a problem for most of the trip. Most of the people signed up have been on this trip every year and know what to expect. Those of you that have not been on this trip or camped from their kayak really need to take an honest look at your abilities. The paddle will be hard especially with your kayak loaded down with an extra 75 lbs of gear. Other than wind, the temperatures should be pleasant.
