With minimal south wind Dick M, Vin, Davis Tucker and I fished the Misquito Island Area in Texas CIty yesterday. Davis and I were in the water around 9:30 and Dick and Vin arrived shortly thereafter. We were anticipating a strong in coming tide around 10 to 11:00. We were greated by a few fishermen who had picked up a few trout around 9:00 on plastic tails but for the most part that was it. We picked up a few undersized trout on plastic tails and Davis and I headed back around 3:00. Vin and Dick returned several hours later. There was quite a crowd of wade fisherman and boats along with a few kayaks when we arrived but I understand the traffic was light compared to weekends. After talking to other fisherman in the water it appeared we should have been there the day before; isn't that generally the case.
