Found trout by drifting slicks on north shore of East bay, first and second major reefs east of smith point... outgoing tide, early sat morning. Near flat conditions, slight northeast wind, less than 10 knots. Caught fish on various colors of salt water assassins fished on bottom and popped under a small float. Fish also hit storm swimming shads, and catch 2000s. Best catch of the day was a 6'4", 200 pound dufus, which was tricked by a #2 treble hook on a bone catch 2000. He was nearly thrown back, but was reluctantly kept on board when he insisted that his partner keep fishing. In all conditions were great up until 11 am when we left to have dufus put out of his misery.
