Berry and I have booked another trip with guide, Bob Green next February. We are going to fish with him Friday the 25th. I plan to lead the Pack mini-armada for the rest of the weekend. Bob Green has a couple other guides that work with him if anyone would like to join Berry and I for that date. If the guides work with Bob, you can be sure they will know where to go and what to throw..he's very serious about the quality of the trips he books. Bob's rates are $200 for a half day and $300 for a full day. Bargains in either case. If you really want to learn something about the lake, spend a day with Bob or one of his guides.
I will book a cabin for Berry and I and suggest that anyone else that wants to sleep comfortably that you book early. This is a trip worth planning ahead for.

Booked a screened shelter for the 15th and 16th of Oct 2010. Wife and I will be there Friday afternoon and I plan on fishing until a little after sunset or gladly join up with anyone that has a better plan.

Feb 2011: Reserved one of the small cabins for Feb 24th, 25th and 26th.

Since daughter is going out of the country during that time frame. I am seriously considering the idea of bringing the son-in-law as he might be good for heavy lifting and cleaning fish...etc? To be totally fair in exchange; I will teach him how to fish. This seems to be a fair exchange of talent and skill?! Hmmm - hope I am not being too generous? At any rate he should prove valuable around the campsite since he is an Eagle Scout. It has been a little over a year of him sucking up for marrying my youngest daughter; so I thought - I would finally give him a break? I am like that with son-in-laws - easy going and kind. My plan is to only to teach him only how to bait, cast and set hooks! That is it! The part of retrieval, fighting fish and all catching will be handled by me, or any other seasoned person who looks to be idle or board. The fish rookie can learn the fine art of catching after he masters the hook set and pass the rod to me skill...hehehee! Until the appropriate time it will be strictly, "you hook - I CATCH - you clean or release as required". Just want to make sure he learns the value of teamwork and good sportsmanship like my grandfather taught me?! What do you think? -seacow

Ron, would definitely like to go but I can't commit this far out. If I do go I'll forego the guided opportunities.

Calvin.. the big cabin has room for 10 folks...for the february trip... so unless you guys want to go it alone, why don't you join us in the big cabin... Now of course if your wife is coming along,, she may appreciate a little more privacy.. but so far all I have is Ken J, Bill B, myself, possible Jim R, and perhaps Barry S.. so suit yourself.

as for next weekend... I'l see you there. I hope to be able to get away early enough to fish friday evening. I will try to connect with you sometime that day.

Normally - I would love to stay in the big fun cabin but wife plans on attending this event and bringing our son-in-law; otherwise I would gladly join you guys in the fun cabin. Wife and daughter are joining PACK - we are all avid anglers.

I plan on fishing and hanging out with the PACK armada. Also – thinking about booking one of the recommended guides for the same time frame as you in Feb; so any help you can provide me like phone numbers etc..would be deeply appreciated. If your partner can not take advantage of the guide opportunity with you; I will volunteer to be considered as a substitute. Or, I can book one of the recommended guides. Lets discuss this weekend. I will be staying in one of the screened shelters this Friday and Saturday nights. Looking forward to fishing with you guys again - had lots of fun yesterday even though I had to leave early to go to a luncheon.
