Please reveiw and take time to propose some new locations for next year for there is a lot of Texas coastline that have yet to be explored. I know some folks have considered some other places in the past such as Florida, Louisiana, and some folks are interested in doing a South Texas SNOOK trip. Let's start the discussions of spots that should make the Official 2008 PACK Trip Calendar. Fish On!

"PACK Trip History - Locations"
The following are some sites worth considering for trips next year, in my opinion.
Jan. Day Trip-Jones Lake, Galveston-Offers protection from North winds.
Feb. Day Trip-Anahuac Wildlife Refuge-Offers protection from North winds. Jacks Pocket, Trinity Bay is another consideration and if the wind is from the West, Seabrook would be an idea.
Feb. Weekend-Feb. 23-The "Paddle In" Florida Everglades. See: http://www.evergladeskaya...g.com/ekf-events.htm Another idea would be Baffin Bay which I understand is a great winter spot; however, I do not know how we could get there without a boat. The Paddle In sounds like a lot of fun for those who can make it and I am giving it serious consideration.
March Day Trip-Dana Cove, Galveston
March Weekend Trip- Shoalwater Bay-Shell Bar-This can be a pristine piece of water. From my prospective it is best suited for a weekend trip. We could camp on our own or go with Bill and the Sea Cow.
April-Day Trip-Black's Reef-East Side of Bolivar Penninsula which includes Little Pasture Cove and Marsh Point Flats.
April Weekend-Aransas Pass-Red Fish Bay- (Brown and Root Flats; South Bay Flats, etc.) There are plenty of places to stay in Aransas or we could find a place to camp. I have not fished this area from a kayak but from what I hear it is well suited to kayak travel and fishing.
May-Day Trip-Christmas Bay
May-Weekend Trip-East Matagorda Bay
June-Day Trip-PACK Tournament
June Weekend Trip-Llano River, Junction Texas Area-This is supposed to be a good river in which to use a kayak and is a good place to use a fly rod, as I understand it. If we cannot locate a member who is knowledgeable hiring a guide could be considered.
July-Day Trip-Colorado River
August Day Trip-Salt Lake
September Day Trip-Dollar Point and surronding areas of Texas City
September Weekend Trip-Smith Point
October Day Trip-Sportsman's Road, Galveston
October Weekend Trip-Panther Point
November Day Trip-Seawolf Park
November Weekend-Bolivar Hilton
